Ranji Trophy 2025: The flop show of Indian batsmen was seen on Thursday in India’s premier domestic tournament Ranji Trophy. Star players like Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill proved to be a flop in the first match of the second phase of Ranji Trophy.
Now the name of wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has also been added to this list, he was dismissed after scoring just one run against Saurashtra while playing for Delhi.

Ranji Trophy 2025: Rohit Sharma also failed as a player
Rohit, who returned to Ranji after almost a decade, was out for just three runs in the first innings against Jammu and Kashmir. Pulwama-born Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Umar Nazir Mir took his wicket on the first day. Umar Nazir bowled a length delivery on the on-side, where the ball took the edge of Rohit’s bat and went into the hands of Paras Dogra standing at short cover.

Ranji Trophy 2025: Pant disappoints fans and goes out on just 1 run.
Pant scored just one run off 10 balls during the match against Saurashtra at Niranjan Shah Stadium Ground in Rajkot on Thursday. The 27-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman had not participated in the Ranji Trophy since December 2017. Pant then played against Vidarbha and scored a total of 53 runs in the match.
Yashasvi also Dissmmissed
Like Rohit, young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal also got out cheaply. His wicket was taken by Aaqib Nabi Dar in the third over. Let us tell you that Yashasvi’s bat was very good in the recently concluded Border-Australia series, where he scored the highest 391 runs for India in the five-match series.
